Additionally, it now contains new "green" features designed to reduce wasted electricity. I would have had nothing to say about this item except for the fact that we had a giant storm yesterday, with electricity/lights going on and off strobe style! I was glad I had this battery back up/surge protector because I thought without it, my stuff surely would have fried. Worked well and protected all my electronics.
Plenty of outlets for everything. Was very glad I made this purchase.

We have been using APC UPS home office systems for a very long time and have always been happy with the products and the service and support. No exception here. APC BACK-UPS ES BE750G 10-Outlet 750VA 120V UPS System. I didn't seem to have the difficulty that others seem to have connecting and installing the battery. While I didn't have any questions about this new UPS I did have a couple questions about the one it was replacing. I used their email support and got rapid and useful technical answers that will help me extend the usefulness of the old UPS to other protection duties. Great support!

Watch out when buying a UPS for newer higher power computers. This one shut down my Dell XPS 435T with a 475W power supply. I thought it would handle my Dell but you need a type with true sine wave not simulated. Don't know if I'm ready to spend $150 for one to handle the computer and 2 monitors, not to mention cable modem and router. Atleast the return policy was great. Take my advice and do a lot of research when buying a UPS.

THanks for the ability to search all the results for MAC because I learned from the reviews how to use it with my mac. I have tried these settings and will test them later.

THIS IS THE RESPONSE I GOT WHEN I DID A LIVE CHAT TO FIND OUT WHY THEIR SOFTWARE DOESN'T WORK WITH SNOW LEOPARD. Guru: Yes, Cindy, I am sorry to say that there is no compatible Power Chute software available for Mac OS X 10.6.4.

This is a good UPS for home use. We recently had a power outage at 3:00 am. The UPS beeped loud enough to waken me and gave me plenty of time to shut down my system. It does supply software that will automatically do that, however I opted to bypass that feature. The size and number of plug in slots is extremely convenient.
