Arrived damaged. Looks like UPS fell out of box during shipping. Rattled when I took it out of "box". Afraid to plug it in.

5 out of 5 stars Great alternative to APC   January 27, 2010

I've only had the unit for a month, so its hard to say how it'll wear over time, but it performs quite nicely out of the box.

5 out of 5 stars Fine quality, rack mount UPS   June 29, 2009

I have a bit of an excessive networking setup by most people's standards, and have a 19 inch rack for my equipment. The Cyberpower CPS1500AVR fit perfectly, and keeps all my equipment running smoothly through the (thankfully) rare power outages in North Metro Denver. Be aware the unit is insanely heavy. The published weight is accurate but you just have no idea how much weight they can pack into a relatively small package. Great unit!

This is a solid(and lasting) system for your PC/monitor/modem. If you use periferials it can take the heat but it isn't recommended. Also, this isn't a theater system backup, it is for your processor/monitor alone for computing purpose, not a plasma entertainmanet system. You need another UPS for your speakers(for gaming/movies/music the like) it also does not filter out radio signals from sub par wiring, my speakers still get them, use a home theater system for that. What is does do is make it safe to leave your PC when it's storming or a brown outtage(as in my "moordrek" of a city suburb)

5 out of 5 stars Good unit for the price   April 10, 2009

I got one of these about 3 months ago. Put it in my rack. It has worked perfectly.

The load indicator is nice. It goes to full at 85% capacity, which is probably a good thing (to prevent you from looking only at it and adding more equipment).

The software offers a logging feature, which is nice (no graph, though I suppose you could save it to a text file, and import it into a spreadsheet if you want).

Only drawback is that, when you open the battery door to change the batteries there is a warning that the battery circuit is not isolated from the AC, and could be hot. Certainly made me shut it down before removing the batteries. This would make me wonder if it was hot swappable. (In my case I needed to relocate the unit in the rack by myself. So I wanted to remove the batteries so it would not be so heavy to fit into the rack. Since I was moving servers around I could shut them down too without issue.)
