As others here, I upgraded my PS3 with this excellent drive. Couldn't have been easier to install. Before I upgraded, I backed up the old drive, slapped this baby in and restored. Now everything is exactly how it was except I have tons of space left to load HD videos taken with my Sony HD VideoCam. I don't even need a Blu-Ray burner. I just view my videos directly from the PS3 hard drive. Highly recommended for PS3 owners!

Very fast (both shipping and hdd performance. I got speeds up to 50 MB/s when transferring my media files onto my new drive. Overall I am very satisfied.

Superior quality for the price November 11, 2008
I bought this hard drive for my windows laptop and so far it has been excellent. All the specs are the same as my replaced Hitachi drive except the capacity of course, so the performance is the same as far as i can tell. The only downside that I've noticed about this drive is that when its under a heavy workload, such as resource-hog games, it get VERY hot. Usually, it gets around 58*C.
Even though there are flaws, I have to give it a five star because for the price, they are all well-worth it. I highly recommend this product.

Like so many others, I puchased this drive as an upgrade from 60GB HD in my Playstation 3. The drive performs perfectly, no noise, no issues. It has handled everything I have thrown at it, movie downloads, music, and games. This HD is a great choice for Playstation 3 owners and is a great price.
