For now my experience with the Samsung Q1 6 Cell extended battery has been good. So far the battery seems to have more than doubled the stand alone operating time that I got from the original battery. Also, after leaving it unplugged from power for several days, I'm greeted with 3-4 hours of work time, according to it's internal calculations; compared to a nearly dead battery when using the original. This is after I store Q1 fully charged, of course. The down side is that this new battery noticeably increases the weight of my Q1 ultra. After hand holding the Q1u for long periods, my arm feels it. But, when I reach 10 reps of 10 - 40 pound curls again, the increased weight of the Q1 and extended battery will seem less than a feather.

Great battery, good investment. It will last almost 5 hours!! depending on the applications running and screen brightness. Has a built in LED charge indicator, so you can see how much is left in the battery without having to connect it. Beware that the battery does stick out a little bit compared to the original battery that comes with the Q1, but it is minimal and does not get in the way of the Q1 being stored in the original sleeve or similar size case. I think this battery is a good investment, you can run the unit almost all day between the original battery and this one without needing a charge. So you can leave the charger home if space is limited. March 2008

works great. due to its larger size, it doesnt slide in as easy. although its hardly worth mentioning. 7 hours of power at typical usage (web browsing, etc). have not watched any movies or any other intensive programs, yet, but i would suspect that it would handle very well. highly recommend.

This extended life battery really works!!! Don't hesitate to purchase this one!! Remember that it is for the Q1 UMPC, which is the newest model!! It even fits in the organizer with the extended battery added on (a little tight but works great). Anyone with the Samsung Q1 needs this battery!

Although the battery is heavier and thicker than the original battery, the battery life is a lot longer. I have my UMPC hibernating for days.
