Perfect match for the Q1 and Q1 Ultra December 29, 2007 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
First of all; ignore the complaints about the price, and how you can get a similar keyboard for $20. You can't.
This keyboard is a "normal" keyboard AND trackpoint mouse in one. It's the perfect size for the Q1, it's nice and thin and the keys are the right size for a decent amount of typing.
In addition to the normal keyboard layout, you also get shortcuts to some of the features of the Q1 and Q1 ultra like brightness and volume.
The trackpoint mouse is great and you have 2 mouse buttons under the spacebar.
It's almost a "must have" if you have a Q1 (ultra). It would have been perfect (5 stars) if it were wireless, it's just another way Samsung made their line of UMPC's more affordable.
a good piece of hardware December 16, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I agree it's a little pricey for a keyboard, but it's worth it cuz it has the special function keys to match the Q1 Ultra. Like the battery and standby controls, sound and brightness controls, etc etc. And of course it's specially sized to fit in the Q1 Ultra carrying case. it's very thin, but sturdy. If you don't get the carrying case it comes with it's own very-well padded case. It's a keeper. Some online reviews have said it's too small to be useful but that's just not true at all. The overall width of the keys relative to a full-sized keyboard is really only about a half inch (from the A key to the semi-colon key). So slightly smaller but not enough to make your fingers be cramped at all and i have pretty fat fingers. Oh and the best feature of all is the eraser-head mouse. !! To my taste, far superior to a touchpad. And of course it has the right and left mouse keys rights below the space bar. Great piece, definitely worth it to go along with the Joyous Q1 Ultra. btw it's not cordless. It does have a little usb cord. The Q1 could run on a bluetooth keyboard if you wanted, i think.
Great product -- not so great price November 26, 2007 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
Granted, this keyboard was manufactured with the Q1 in mind, but that doesn't justify the price. For $12 or $20, one can get a very portable USB keyboard that works equally well. This keyboard somewhat matches the dimensions of the Q1, so if that's important, buy it. But for much less, one can get a similarly sized USB keyboard from a different manufacturer.
