Weighing just under 6 pounds and measuring 1.5 inches thin, this notebook also features a 20 GB hard drive, 256 MB of installed RAM, a bright 14.1-inch screen, and a removable DVD-ROM drive. This remanufactured IBM notebook is covered by a 90-day warranty. The Basics
- Hard Drive: The 40 GB hard drive is below average in comparison to contemporary business-oriented notebooks (where 60 GB is becoming more the standard). However, it's still more than enough room for loading a business productivity suite and storing a wealth of spreadsheets, documents, and presentations.
- Processor: The 1.8 GHz Intel Pentium 4-M (Mobile) processor offers enough speed for your work today, though its speed lags behind what is available in contemporary notebooks with this processor (as of Autumn 2005). Thanks to its Mobile features, the processor can save power when its not needed, thus conserving battery life. It also features a 400 MHz front-side bus and 512 KB L2 cache. (An L2, or secondary, cache temporarily stores data; and a larger L2 cache can help speed up your system's performance.)
