If your burner can't read these, toss them! July 1, 2010 Nonna of the Pond (Texas) I've had nothing but grief with this brand of CD-R, and I'm not alone. After figuratively banging my head against the wall for hours trying to troubleshoot my burner, I thought to try another brand of CD-R. Guess what? No problems. If you Google Memorex CD-R, the first thing that pops up are endless reviews trashing this product.
Yes, it's cheap, and I really mean cheap. And you get what you pay for.
Avoid it!
Junk, dysfunctional, DO NOT BUY! June 2, 2010 M. Bryant (US) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The quality of these discs are junk. Now, I'm not one to complain, so this is rare to see me rate something one star (would rate zero.) It seems as though that when these discs reach a certain temperature, they begin to get that 'radio fuzz' sound and deteriorate in quality. I wouldn't complain and warn you guys, but I am sick of putting on albums that I can't get enough of and by the end, the 'radio fuzz' noise disrupts the music and ruins the whole CD!! I just burned a new disc "Low" by David Bowie, to be exact, and there was NO fuzz and I was SO happy, but Memorex just couldn't let me be happy, they had to throw in that fuzz on the last song. So I had to turn it off and was left feeling incomplete. I know it is these discs that are the problem, because my vinyl records and CDs have no problem playing from the same stereo. This fuzz sound also happens when they are played in the car for +30 minutes. Do not buy, go with another brand and do not let the high ratings fool you. If they are able to produce one bad batch, they are able to do it multiple times--and who knows, next it could be you.
Very Reliable CD-R Disks June 4, 2009 Avid Reviewer (San Jose, CA) Memorex is my favorite brand of CD/DVD R/RW Disks. These CD-R disks are almost 100% reliable. Of the 30 CD's in the spindle, I've made only 2 coasters with my DELL E521 DVD/CD Burner.
Good Product April 7, 2009 Alex I had no problems with Memorex. This product is a great. Also it got to me very fast. All CD-R worked without any errors. I've used maybe six of the DVD disks so far and there have been no faults. I've used probably my Memorex 700MB/80-Minute 52x Data CD-R Media (30-Pack Spindle) recorder/player and there hasn't problem. Will buy this again!
