5 out of 5 stars 780i ftw evga   September 15, 2008

great board. switched from a p35 for sli capability. did not know but when you do this you have to reinstall windows because the o/s needs to be formatted to the motherboard chipset.Lots of bad info out there. i was told that this board does 1066 mem. and the other does not. that is a lie the other 780 does. evga reps at nvision 08 told me that this model "officialy" takes it.(bull*%&@ marketing)anyways, the dummy oc is great cuz i have no idea how to myself. i have e8400 6400ram oc 20% broght stock to 3.6. 1333 to 1600 fsb. all solid caps are great. north bridge fan still crap and blows the hot air onto graphics card. thats my only complaint. they made a 790i ftw model with the new fan design but didnt hook the 780 up.(greedy bass turds)
oh and one more thing. dont forget to go to realtek and dl drivers for sound if your using onboard sound and vista. i had major problems with the case front panel and headphones.
other than that its sweet. started up great. for 30-40 bucks more ide def get this board over the stock.
