Always buy LCD screen displays, for these days. July 21, 2008 Don't bother w/ this item. HP monitors are usually no good (Gateway is better), and CRT is really, a thing of the past. Find an LCD display, these days, they don't cost so much. Don't buy the cheapest one, cuz, happiness is just around the corner.
I thought it was a "thin" screen..it's huge February 24, 2006 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I guess I have to admit it's my fault... I should have asked more questions. I too thought it was a "thin" flat screen...it's huge. Big mistake!!!
Consider the good reviews January 24, 2006 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I don't personaly own one of these but I've seen them in an office depote and they look good. Don't listen to the people that gave it a bad rating, they don't know what they are talking about. Flat screen monitor doesn't mean that its thin, it means the screen is flat, LCD and plasma tvs and monitors are the thin ones. CRT monitors on the other hand are bulky and bigger and are NOT THIN, they can have a flat screen surface, but are definetly not thin. CRT monitors and tvs aren't thin, but most of them do have a flat screen. If you read the product specs it says this is a CRT monitor, not a LCD or plasma. If you don't know what CRT, LCD or plasma displays are and you want to get a monitor, you best go to your nearest electronic store and talk with the people working there which one you should get.
IGNORE BAD REVIEWS!!! January 18, 2006 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
To all the people who wrote bad reviews: It isn't HP or Amazon's fault that you couldn't read the product description!!! It says straight up that it is a flat screen CRT, not an LCD. Why don't you people take some responsibility for yourselves, rather than blame the product for your poor reading skills!!!
Anyways, I'm giving this 5 stars to help even out the bad reviews.

Heads up for those of us out there who are low tech. Despite the photo representation of this product it is not a FLAT PANEL, which is a thin monitor. It is a FLAT SCREEN, which has a standard depth. I had purchased this as a gift for my husband and was sorely disappointed when it arrived. I have since returned it and did not get a refund on the shipping as tecnically there was nothing wrong with it. Again, I think the above photo is very deceptive.
