Blurry October 28, 2008
I bought this AccuSync AS700 monitor because I hate LCDs and needed a second CRT monitor for a second computer. The picture on this model is blurry. Unusual for a picture tube monitor to look as bad as an LCD, but this one does.
The screen is also very curved, irritating for a computer monitor. I returned this AS700 for a refund.
I still needed a second CRT monitor for the other computer. I managed to locate an overstock of an older NEC picture tube model, the MultiSync FE772. The older FE772 model is MUCH clearer, a huge improvement. (Probably due to the smaller dot pitch of 0.25mm.) The screen on the older model is also very close to being completely flat. Although the older NEC FE772 model isn't nearly as good as my Samsung picture tube monitor from 2001, its OK I guess. The FE772 still looks better than the LCDs I've tried.
